compre is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and store personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

2. Information we collect

We collect personal information that is necessary to provide our compliance management services. This includes your name, email address, agency name, professional licence details, insurance information, and CPD records. We also collect information about properties you manage through the platform, including documents you upload in connection with property sales.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information to provide and improve the compre platform, to send compliance alerts and notifications, to manage your subscription and billing, and to comply with our legal obligations. We do not use your information for direct marketing without your consent, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Document uploads and PII scanning

Documents uploaded to the platform are scanned for personally identifiable information (PII) including bank account numbers and government identification numbers. Documents containing such information may be rejected to protect the privacy of vendors and purchasers. All uploaded documents are stored in Australia (AWS ap-southeast-2, Sydney).

5. Data storage and security

All data is stored on servers located in Australia. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authorised personnel and is protected by row-level security controls. Signed-off compliance records are permanently locked and cannot be altered after sign-off.

6. Disclosure of information

We do not disclose your personal information to third parties except where required by law, where you have consented, or where disclosure is necessary to provide our services (for example, to our cloud infrastructure providers). We may disclose information to regulators including NSW Fair Trading if required by law.

7. Access and correction

You have the right to access and correct personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at hello@compre.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and to comply with our legal obligations. Compliance records for signed-off properties are retained for a minimum of 7 years in accordance with industry requirements. Free accounts with no activity are closed after 90 days.
